Event allows veterans to help veterans

Operation Angel Wing presents the 4th Annual George H. Neeley Veterans Memorial Benefit and Ride this Saturday, Aug. 17.

Ride registration will be at Bootlegger Harley-Davidson 605 Lovell Road, Knoxville. The registration table opens at 9 a.m. KSU 11:30 a.m. The ride concludes at Big Ridge State Park in Maynardville where event festivities will kick off at 1:30 p.m.

The ride costs $15 — $5 for passengers and fees include veteran award ceremony, band, barbecue dinner.

Special presenter at Big Ridge State Park will be Mayor Terry Frank of Anderson County.

Chief Davis and the Anderson High School Color Guard will present colors at a ceremonial kickoff.

Music bye Zeke Vanderpool and Samson Ferrell — combat singer-songwriters. Master of Ceremonies is Chris Hall of the Overdrive Band. After ceremonies conclude the after party will continue with the Overdrive Band.

Angel Wings is a non-profit organization who allows veterans to help veterans.
