CHS Choir will perform at TSB Convention
The award winning Clinton High School choir has been invited to perform at the closing ceremony of the Tennessee School Boards Association’s (TSBA) annual convention in Nashville on Nov. 17, 2019.
The CHS choir consistently makes superior ratings at the J.B. Lyle Choral festival in Knoxville. The choir has received superior ratings at the state level at the American Choir Directors Association State festival. Several students voluntarily participate in honors choirs across the state.
The choral department has grown from 30 students to more than 200 under the direction of Mr. McCall Bohanan.
The TSBA is a non-profit service organization whose mission is to assist school boards in effectively governing school districts.
TSBA has helped school boards and their members reach their highest potential through association programs, meetings and services such as the convention.
The annual convention is attended by approximately 750 school board members from 95 school districts, administrators, business affiliates, guest speakers and 30-40 exhibitors. In order to be considered for the closing performance, the choir director submitted videos and evidence of their superior ratings to be judged by a panel of TSBA directors.
