Lady Mavs had a busy weekend at the net
Anderson County travelled to Siegel in Murfreesboro Friday, Sept. 13 to participate in the Back to the ‘Boro tournament.
In total they played five teams across two days, losing 0-2 to both Siegal and Camden on the first day.
On the second day, they started by beating out Farragut 2-0, then playing Nolensville. Nolensville was the closest game for the Mavericks, with the first two sets both finishing 24-26, one in AC’s favor and one not. The final set ended 15-12 in Anderson County’s favor.
The final game Anderson County played was against Houston, a school from Germantown. The Lady Mavs lost both sets, finishing out the tournament with two wins and three losses. Anderson County hosted Webb on Monday, Sept. 23. The final score was 3-0. After a strong five-point lead gained in the first set, Webb stayed behind until the end.
The win put Anderson County 23-8.
Anderson County plays Gibbs at home on Thursday, Sept. 26.
