Atomic City swimmers travel to N.C. for the Banjo Bear Invite

The Atomic City Aquatic Club traveled to Asheville for the SMAC Banjo Bear Invite.

The swimmers continued progressing in this recent short-course event, ramping up for other meets to come.

Zack Telep (17) won all eight events he raced, making Southeasterns in four events.

Abigail King (15) won five races and made Southeasterns in four events. Rachel Aycock (17) made Southeasterns in four events and won four races.

Stephen Zhukov (13) made Southeasterns in four events.

Other swimmers made Southeastern cuts and/or won races. Tais Brown (15) won and made Southeasterns in the 100 Fly and 200 Fly. Camden Gerchar (14) made Southeasterns in three races.

Abby Aycock (17) made Southeasterns in two events, winning the 100 Fly. Stuart Greene (12) made Southeasterns in the 100 Breast.

Charlie Rockafellow (8) won five events. Merrick Brown (7) won the 100 Back.

Overall, Coach Andy Wagner was pleased with the swimmers’ efforts and excited about the potential of new and veteran swimmers on the team.
