Clinton High baseball is having a big weekend
“You’re killing me, Smalls.”
This Friday, Nov. 15, Clinton High School Baseball will be hosting a “Movie on the Field” playing “The Sandlot.” Admission is free and concessions will be sold. Gates open at six and bounce houses for the children will be erected as well.
The event serves as a great chance for the community to meet the 2019-2020 baseball team and coaches, including Clinton’s new head coach, Rob Stacy.
The movie on Friday will be followed by an alumni baseball game on Saturday, Nov. 16th at Jaycee Park. All former Clinton High School baseball players are invited to attend and play. Anyone who plans to play in the game should report to the field at 10:30 am. Batting practice will begin at 11:15 and the game itself will start at noon. After the game, there will be a chili dinner.
This will be an amazing opportunity for former players and teammates to reconnect, as well as share their stories and experiences of Clinton baseball with a new head coach. It also serves as an important opportunity to talk about what Clinton baseball means to former players and what made the experience so meaningful to each of them so that, hopefully, it can be just as meaningful for the players now.
Even people not intending to play in the alumni game are encouraged to come out and enjoy the company of old friends and teammates.
