Saturday, Nov. 23, the East Tennessee Vocal Association hosted it’s annual All-East Honor-Choirs performances at Maryville College.

Students from high schools all across East Tennessee audition and are only admitted to the choir after a rigorous selection process involving a prepared accompaniment and a sight-reading test.

If students pass their first audition, they are given music to learn, and then they must audition again at a later screening to show they have learned they have practiced sufficiently and learned their music. Judges from the East Tennessee Vocal Association act as judges during these screenings.
