Hawks serve others during Thanksgiving Break

By Hawk Talk staff

Last Monday, instead of sleeping in, a cast of service-minded Hawks got out around town to serve others for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Led by Hawk staff members Nicole Patalano, Lisa Clark, Jan Smith, and choir director Elizabeth Myers, these Hawks met to fit people with scarves, gloves, and coats as they served hot chocolate, cider, and coffee along with snacks.

Hawk choir members performed live music while others loaded Thanksgiving food boxes and turkeys.

Later, these students finished organizing and packing Thanksgiving food boxes collected as part of our Hawks for Helping Others Club to be delivered throughout our communities.

To cap off the day, students then visited Anderson County Schools Central Office to deliver letters and cards of appreciation for our Central Office staff as part of our partnership with UTrust, led by Ms. Patalano and Clinton Middle Bookkeeper Kim Scattergood.

These dedicated Hawks and Hawk staff will continue to spread their kindness and giving spirit through the holiday season.
