Blaze hosting Family Fun Night Jan. 23
Faculty hoops game set Feb. 20
Clinton City Schools will host a family fun night Jan. 23 to promote physical fitness in the community.
The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. at Clinton High School’s Hollingsworth Sportsplex.
CCS Athletic Director E.T. Stamey said the event is designed to promote family and physical fitness.
“We would like to thank Clinton High School for letting us use their complex,” Stamey said.
“We want to promote physical fitness and we want to get as many families and teachers involved as we can.”
Grades K-2 can participate from 5-6 p.m., and students in grades 3-6 will be able to play from 6-7 p.m.
The event will include numerous games and activities including yoga, basketball, hockey, Frisbee, ball toss and putt-putt.
Parents are required to stay with their children and participate in the various activities.
Pre-registration is required and parents must sign a liability form and return it to the child’s teacher by Friday, Jan. 17.
Blaze Faculty Basketball Game: The Clinton City Schools faculty basketball game is slated for 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at Arowood Arena.
Stamey said he is seeking CCS teachers and faculty members to sign up to play.

CCS Teachers to Compete in Blaze Teachers Bowling League: Area elementary school teachers will compete in a bowling league at Clinton Community Center.
League play begins after the Christmas Break.
Blaze Bowling: The Blaze will begin a second bowling season on March 4.
