Dem women will meet on Feb. 24
The Anderson County Democratic Women’s Club will explore recent major issues before the Anderson County Commission at its meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at The Other One, a deli at 178 Randolph Road in Grove Center, Oak Ridge.
Catherine Denenberg, Anderson County commissioner representing District Six in Oak Ridge, will be the guest speaker.
Among topics will be the recommendation that the county be a “Second Amendment sanctuary,” a motion to allow certain county employees to carry concealed weapons, and the future of TVA’s Bull Run Steam Plant, scheduled for closing in 2023. No reservations for the meeting are necessary.
