Anderson County High School’s Stone Cummins took third place at last weekend’s TSSAA State Wrestling meet, held in Franklin, in the 195-pound weight class. Cummn-

ins defeated Brandon Powell of Germantown and Brett Hill of Rossview before falling to eventual state champ Johnny Mac Fieldhacker of Brentwood. Cummins defeated Jaylan Hughes of Blackman to capture third place. The Mavs had eight other wrestlers quailify for the state meet: Lucas Prewitt in the 106-pound class; McClain Spurling in the 113-pound class; Reece “The Beast” Bailey in the 120-pound class; Bohdi Ondrak in the 160-pound class; Tyler Muncy in the 170-pound class; Joshua Moles in the 182-pound class; Tyler Homes in the 220-pound class; and Matthew Murphy in the 285-pound class.
