EDITOR:
Glenn Mollette’s recent column promoted simplistic “solutions” on how to avoid a confrontation with the police.
But he failed to address a much broader problem in the United States and around the world, the deep-rooted racism and unequal treatment of black and brown people that is prevalent in our justice system.
In the past few months, millions of people have gathered in all 50 states and around the world to peacefully protest this problem and to try to effect change.
And thankfully, it appears that times are indeed changing.
If we could spread love as quickly as we spread hate and negativity, what an amazing world we would live in.
