Lady Dragons back on the court

Season resumes with Senior Night tonight (Sept. 16)

There is one thing for certain when a sports team is quarantined: rescheduling.

The Clinton High School Lady Dragon volleyball team was quarantined for two week in an abundance of caution and has finally got the green light to get back on the court.

The Lady Dragons will start their second attempt at the 2020 season, hosting Union County tonight (Sept. 16) for senior night.

Other changes to the schedule include:

Sept. 23 at home vs. Gibbs High School;

Sept. 28 at home vs. Grainger High School;

And a home game with Anderson County set for Sept. 29.

The other matches already scheduled will remain the same.

“We will just do our best with the limited practices we will have for the remainder of the season,” Head Coach Susan Zellner said. “ just want the rest of the season to go smoothly for the players and let the seniors get through the season as well as we can. It means a lot to them to just finish the season with all this craziness going on.”
