Lady Blaze CC take part in Cove Lake run
Blaze Cross Country runners served breakfast Saturday morning at Apple Blossom Cafe as part of the team’s pancake breakfast fundraiser.
The top Blaze finisher in the elementary school section was fifth-grader Uriyah Pickett, who completed the mile course in seven minutes, 41 seconds. The top Lady Blaze finisher was Isabella Morbito. She posted a time of 10:25. That meet was held on Wednesday, Sept. 9
In the middle school meet on Thursday, Clinton’s Isaiah Williams completed the two-mile course in 16:44.
Cross Country Schedule: The Blaze competed at Leisure Polls Meet Sept. 21-22.
The Area Championships are on Oct.10 and the State Championships are scheduled for Oct. 24.
Schedule change: The meets scheduled for Sept. 28-29 at Johnson University in Knoxville will be rescheduled for a later date.
