Knox Halls handles Dragons, 12-2

Clinton hosted Halls on Tuesday, March 30, for a district baseball game, ultimately losing 12-2.

The Dragons held steady in the early innings, keeping Halls to one run in the first and three in the second, even getting runners on third and ready to score.

But the Dragons couldn’t manage to get those runners home, and in the third inning, their defense gave way as they allowed eight runs to put Halls up 12-0 at the end of the inning.

Clinton managed to hold Halls to zero runs in the fourth again, but without any scoring, the Dragons couldn’t catch up. It wasn’t until the fifth and final inning where the Dragons finally managed to get two runs on the board, but it was too little, too late.

Ethan Tinker, Harrison Shelton, and Aaron Harrington all pitched for the Dragons, with Tinker and Harrington both notching two strikeouts apiece.

Tinker finished with 11 first pitch strikes, and Shelton finished with seven.
