The Mavs traveled to Cumberland County high school on Tuesday, May 18, to play Cumberland County high school in the first round of the region tournament.
Anderson County ultimately lost 6-0.
Ron Roskelly, head coach of the Mavericks, said the team played hard and didn’t give up.
“We had our chances, but just couldn’t capitalize,” Roskelly said.
“We have good boys, and they represented our team well. The guys played hard until the final whistle.
“We are extremely proud of this group of guys and the season they were able to put together,” he said.
