Sinking Springs United Methodist Church is beginning restoration of its cemetery.
Sinking Springs cemetery undergoing renovations; asks for those with family interred to make donations
There are approximately 29 markers that need repairs. They need leveling; some need to be reattached to their bases, and one marker has completely fallen off its base.
The cemetery operates only from donations and gifts for maintenance and upkeep, therefore SSUMC is seeking financial assistance from anyone who has a family member interred in the cemetery.
This restoration will be costly, one church member noted.
