Regina Copeland, county trustee, will be guest speaker for GOP monthly meeting

Regina Copeland, Anderson County trustee, will be the speaker at the monthly meeting of the Anderson County Republican Party on July 22.

As trustee, Copeland serves as the banker for Anderson County government. Her responsibilities include collecting the country’s property taxes and funds from the state and federal government; accounting for and disbursing county funds to the county school systems and the county general fund; and investing temporarily idle county funds until needed by the county school board or county commission. She also administers the Tax Relief Program and Tax Freeze Program for the county and its cities.

Prior to being elected as county trustee, Regina managed the county’s 911 office for 18 years.

She is married to Keith Copeland, the treasurer for the Anderson County Republican Party.

They have two children, Autumn Copeland Carroll and Dustyn Copeland, and are active members of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Copeland will talk about her work as county trustee and what it means to her to be a Republican.

Monthly meetings of the Republican Party are open to the public and are held at 109 Raleigh Road in Oak Ridge beginning at 7 p.m.
