The Lady Mavericks volleyball team is looking good in the preseason.

“We have beaten Catholic 3-0 in a scrimmage, beat Farragut, Hardin Vally, Webb, Grace and Bearden today (Saturday) starting four first year players, and only our L [libero] played her position last year,” said Assistant Coach Dail Cantrell.

“We are still learning rotations and called no timeouts or hyped them up any today as we teach.

“These [players] work hard, are athletic, coachable, great teammates, and have a chip on their shoulder. I love this group. In our last 14 seasons in AA we have been in six state finals.”
