Dragon cross country season begins Aug. 20
The TSSAA Cross Country season officially began on Aug. 16 and according to rules can have a maximum of 11 regular season meets.
For the Clinton Dragons Cross Country team, the first official contest will be at Cherokee Farm in Knoxville on Saturday morning, Aug. 26.
The Dragons’ season consists of seven meets plus post-season events which begin on Oct. 26.
This year’s girls’ roster includes seniors Abigail Bible, Alexis England, Jade Guadarrama, Shane Miller, Madison Redmond, Abigail Sanders and Adeline Shelton; juniors Juliet Avila, Natalie McLemore, Lisa Wallace and Marissa Winter; sophomore Grace Allen, Summer Wilson; and freshman Alison Holifield.
The boys’ roster includes seniors Michael Dueble, Seth Shrout, Andrew Pecynski, William Swaggerty, Jeremiah Turbyville and CJ Watson; juniors Ethan Hunt, Sifi Gatho, Ethan Ortiz, Nathan Puelo and Jabari Wilkins; sophomores Aiden Davis, Damien Eitel, Carl Helus, Calem Kendall and Kyle Williams; and, freshman, Noah Ortiz.
