Clinton Lions Club 80th Anniversary

Lion Neal Vaughn was honored during Saturday’s dinner.

Clinton Lions Club celebrated its 80th birthday a year late due to COVID, but held a celebration nonetheless at the Museum of Appalachia Saturday, Aug. 14.

Two Lions were honored with Quilts of Valor for their service in the military.

Hayllynn Willis presented special music.

Also speaking was Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank.

PID Thomas H. Matney was the keynote speaker at the Clinton Lions Club 80th Anniversary dinner Saturday night.

Saturday night’s event was more social than business as old friends caught up with one another following a year of lockdown.

Lois “Jean” Schneider was recognized at a Melvin Jones Fellow.
