Lady Laker volleyballers were busy

Over the weekend, the Lady Lakers volleyball team was all over the court playing against Maryville, Powell and Farragut in an invitational tournament.

The girls lost to Maryville, won against Powell, and tied one set a piece against Farragut.

This play put the Lakers in third place in their pool, which meant that they would play in the Silver Challenge Match.

First, the Lade Lakers played Farragut’s second team and won both sets.

This time, the team ended up in second place and got a pass to the semi-final game against the winner of Grace Christian and Karns.

The Lady Lakers won against Grace Christian in two sets, and eagerly waited for their battle against Clinton. Overall, the girls placed second in the silver bracket.

Karoline Arender, Emerie Bullock, Lakeley Ridenhour and Coy Tomlinson were strong servers against Farragut’s team.

Lily Parson dominated the front row with tips and slams.

In the Lakers’ game against Grace Christian, Emerie Bullock, Lily Parson and Dakotah Berlin were beasts at serving.

Karoline Arender and Lily Parson slammed a few balls over that were unreturnable.

Lastly, Karoline Arender had a strong serving game against Clinton.

Dakotah Berlin and Coy Tomlinson down-balled and spiked the ball well against Clinton. It was a solid showing for the Lake City Lakers.
