After a trip to Bristol, CHS band can be called ‘grand champions’

  • The Clinton High School band competed in the “Music in the Castle” event last weekend.

  • Clinton High School band placed in all eight categories in its division, and also brought home the “grand champion” trophy after besting all 18 schools in the event.

The ClintonHigh School band went to a competition Saturday, Oct. 2, “Music in the Castle,” at Tennessee High School in Bristol.

The CHS band competed against seven different bands in its division.

Clinton’s band placed in all eight categories.

And to top it off, among 18 other schools and three divisions, CHS brought home the grand champion trophy.

The band directors are Matt Bimstein and Ezekiel Schloss.

This was a big win seeing that the last two years the band hasn’t been able to compete due to the pandemic.
