10th Annual Clinton 5K and Fun Run

  • Ray Allen (415) got a little help from educator Andie Breeden and her son, Bryson (pictured running with Ray), in taking part in Saturday’s event.

More than 100 runners took part in the 10th Annual Clinton 5K and Fun Run — proceeds of which to be used for health and wellness grants in Clinton City and Anderson County Schools. Clinton City Schools left its mark in both races as Blaze runners provided the largest block of participants in each race. The 5K runners (top) and Fun Run milers (bottom) were both given the signal to start by Clinton Mayor Scott Burton. Fairview Elementary School’s Will Hardy was the first to cross the finish line. ”He’s not a CCS student, but we are still super proud of him,” Director of Clinton City Schools Kelly Johnson said.
