The Anderson County and Clinton high school cross-country teams ran their final regular season races at Cherokee Farm last Tuesday.

“I ended up sitting out some of my runners and used it as a training session,” said Derek Wallace, Anderson County head coach.

“It was the last race for the non-region runners and it had a senior night atmosphere and it was a lot of fun. We are looking forward to next Tuesday [Oct. 26] in the regional with a chance of qualifying for state in November,” he said.

“The Cherokee Farms race was a wonderful way for us to end the season,” Wallace said.

Tim Kumes, Clinton head coach, said: “There’s typically a lot of energy at that race as most teams are preparing for the regional race.
