Blaze squads take a couple of tough losses to Knox private schools

Clinton City Blaze took two tough losses last week against Knoxville private schools.

Tegan Bunch led the way for the Lady Blaze with five points and six rebounds against the Tate varsity squad.

James David Meredith and Kade Webb each knocked down five points in a Blaze loss to Tate. Cal Kirkpatrick grabbed rebounds in a good effort under the boards.

Facing Episcopal School of Knoxville (ESK), the Lady Blaze lost a very close game last Thursday night. Morgan James had the hot hand and put up 10 points and played bulldog defense. She also hauled in seven rebounds.

Tegan Bunch had another sterling effort with four points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Blaze teams played Monday night against the Impact’s fourth and fifth grade teams.

Thursday night the Blaze will be at St. Mary’s in Oak Ridge.
