The Anderson County Lady Mavericks suffered a tough road loss at Maryville last Tuesday by a score of 66-30.

“We had trouble scoring; they pressed us and we turned it over too much,” said Mitch Cupples, Anderson County assistant coach.

“They [Maryville] shot it really well percentage-wise. They hit 13 threes. That was kind of the story of the game right there,” he said.

Maryville got out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and extended the lead to 37-18 at the half.

Maryille built the lead to 55-23 in the third quarter and went on for the win.

Kylee Alvis led Anderson County with 13 points.
