Thoughts and prayers

Emerson Williams was one of hundreds of people who signed a banner for Clinton City School System Coordinator of Blaze Activities and Athletic Director E.T. Stamey Monday night during the last home game of the Blaze basketball teams. Stamey, who has steadily built the number of Blaze programs availble since the program’s inception in 2017, suffered a stroke last week. Monday night’s game was televised, and also was broadcasted by WYSH Radio, and was viewed by Stamey from his hospital room, Director of Clinton City Schools Kelly Johnson said before the games began. Monday night’s game was a sellout. Students and players gave a shout out and chanted, “E.T.! E.T.!” between the girls’ and boys’ games.
