The road to the Golden trophy
Following is the schedule for 2022 TSSAA 3A state basketball tournament in Murfreesboro in the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University:
Tuesday (March 15)
• Greeneville (28-6) vs. Jackson North Side (20-7) at 4:30 p.m.
Greeneville is the defending 2020-2021 AA state champion, The team beat Jackson South Side 47-46.
Jackson South Side is Clinton’s first-round test at the state tournament Wednesday, March 16.
• Stone Memorial (21-10) vs. Bolton (8-17) at 6 p.m.
Wednesday (March 16)
• Clinton (28-4) vs. Jackson South Side (23-3) at 10 a.m.
• Fulton (29-5) vs. Fayette-Ware (26-6) at 11:30 a.m.
Semifinal games will be played at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Friday, March.
If Clinton advances to the semifinal round, the Dragons will play at 11:30 a.m. against the Fulton vs. Fayette-Ware winner.
The championship game will be played at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17.
