ACHS track and field competes at Maryville High
The Anderson County track team competed at a meet at Maryville High School last Thursday.
In the girls 100-meter dash, Aliyah Kennedy of Maryville was first with a time of 12.50.
Savannah Worthington of Anderson County finished with a time of 14.17. Teammate Katherine Binkley finished with a time of 15.98.
Kennedy also won the 200-meter dash. Her time was 26.09. Alexis Burt of ACHS finished with a time of 32.98.
In the 800-meter run, Savannah Rivera of the Knoxville Ambassadors won with a time of 2:20.82. Marley Caldwell of ACHS was fifth with a time of 2:43.23.
In the 1,600-meter run, Andie-Marie Jones of Maryville took first with a time of 5:07.92. Megan Haire of ACHS was ninth with a time of 5:54.22.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Hayes McCallum of Maryville was first with a time of 16.67. Alexis Burt of ACHS finished with a time of 22.08.
In the 4x100-meter relay, Maryville won with a time of 49.79. Anderson County finished with a time of 1:06.10.
In the 4x400-meter relay, Maryville won with a time of 4:06.15. Anderson County was fourth, posting a time of 4:59.68.
In the 4x800-meter relay, Maryville was first with a time of 10:33.21. Anderson County was fifth with a time of 11:44.39.
Kendall Whitehead of Maryville won the high jump with a height of 4-10.00. Savannah Worthington of ACHS was fourth with a height of 4–08.00. Teammate Madison Rayfield was seventh, also with a height of 4-0.00.
In the long jump, A.G. Lual of Maryville won with a distance of 16-00.25. Brianna Merryfield of ACHS finished with a distance of 10-11.20.
Chloe Courtney of Jefferson County won the triple jump with a distance of 34-00.00. Madison Rayfield of ACHS just missed the Top 10 with a distance of 25-07.50.
In the discus, Maggie Sanderson of Maryville won with a distance of 111-08.00. Kylee Alvis of ACHS was eighth with a distance of 93-09.00. Teammates Ella Brummitt was 10th with a distance of 85-04.00 and Brianna Merryfield finished with a distance of 61-00.00.
Ashley Parrish of Maryville won the shot put with a distance of 36-10.50. Kylee Alvis of ACHS was second with a distance of 35-01.00. Teammate Ella Brummitt was sixth with a distance of 30-05.50. Brianna Merryfield of ACHS finished with a distance of 21-01.00.
For the boys, Tezz Dozier of Maryville won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.79. Bryce Leatherwood of ACHS just missed the Top 10 with a time of 24.26. Teammate Ethan Walton finished with a time of 26.11.
In the 800-meter run, Connor Overley of Heritage was first with a time of 1:57.66. Ryan Basford of ACHS finished with a time of 2:14.94 while teammate Tyler Potter finished with a time of 2:52.63.
In the 1,600-meter run, Abdul Jaber of Alcoa won with a time 4:33.41. Ryan Basford of ACHS finished with a time of 5:03.90.
Coye Connell of Seymour won the discus with a distance of 131-04.00. Riley Davis of ACHS finished with a distance of 92-07.00.
Adrian Gumm of Maryville won the shot put with a distance of 54-11.00. Riley Davis of ACHS finished with a distance of 31-05.00.
