It was two-and-a-half years in the making with a pause due to the pandemic, but the idea of Dan and Charlotte Bridges, along with the help of Bear Stephenson, has finally come to the children who attend Briceville Elementary School. After prayers, meetings, approvals and cooperation of the weather, at 10 a.m. April 28 the Hornets arrived on the drive leading to the school. With testing wrapping up for the kids at Briceville, while they were at recess they got the opportunity to watch the yellow hornets being painted on the pavement going into the school. Along with the help of County Commissioner Shain Vowell and the support of County Commissioner Tim Isbel, Court Clerk Rex Lynch and Sheriff Russell Barker, the yellow hornets are finally at home, and the project will be completed, weather permitting, by the last day of this school year.
