How to hold a sports camp when it’s really hot

  • Anderson County High School Softball Camp

East Tennessee’s blistering temperatures last week didn’t deter campers at the Anderson County High School Softball Camp. It was originally scheduled to take place from 9 a.m.-noon, but high temperatures forced Lady Mav Head Coach Allen Russell to adapt — camp time was changed to run from 8-11 a.m.. Not only did campers learn fundamentals of the sport, but also enjoyed an appropriate break — slip and slide at the end of the softball sessions to help them cool off.
