What are the most ‘patriotic’ states in America?
With the Fourth of July approaching, but America troubled by issues such as a 44 percent rise in hate crimes in major cities last year, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2022’s Most Patriotic States in America.
These troubles come on the heels of another crisis that has made it difficult to have big displays of patriotism in the past few years: the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, WalletHub is proud of the researchers who made the vaccine possible, which will allow people the freedom to gather on July 4 to celebrate.
To determine where Americans have the most red, white and blue pride, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 13 key indicators of patriotism.
The data set ranges from the state’s military enlistees and veterans to the share of adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election to AmeriCorps volunteers per capita.
