Dems to hold meet and greet Sept. 17

The Anderson County Democratic Party will hold a meet-and-greet for Democratic candidates from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Melton Lake Pavilion, 697 Melton Lake Drive, Oak Ridge.

Candidates expected to attend are Jim Dodson, Oak Ridge City Council member who is running for state representative in Anderson County’s District 33; Jason Martin, Democratic candidate for governor; and Meg Gorman, Democratic candidate for Congress in Tennessee’s 3rd District. The public is invited to hear them speak, ask questions, and talk with the candidates.

The Democratic Party will also honor Jerry Creasy at the event for his 32 years of service as an Anderson County commissioner. Creasy represented Oak Ridge’s District 7 before retiring recently from the position.
