CHS wins two on the pitch
The 2022 season has had its ups and downs for the Clinton High School girls soccer team.
But the Lady Dragons, who are in the midst of a rebuild, notched a pair of victories late last week.
Clinton (5-6-1) defeated J. Frank White, 5-1, Friday at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate.
Elly Leander had a hat trick and dished out an assist on a marker by Sadie Haney.
The Lady Dragons followed that win by shutting out Fulton at home Saturday night, 9-0. Leander had a big first half as she scored four goals and had two assists over the inaugural 40 minutes of the match.
Sadie Haney scored twice and was credited with an assist in the game. Riley Sharp, Ashley Gaetz and Addison Haney also tallied against Fulton.
