Oak Ridge cross country leads the pack at Cherokee run

Oak Ridge High School’s cross country teams posted dominant performances Saturday at the Cherokee Invitational in South Knoxville.

The Wildcats seven runners finished in the Top 20, while six Lady Wildcats runners finished in the Top 10 and another finished 11th.

These times are unofficial due to timing issues.

Oak Ridge had the individual winner in both races. Dylan Job was victorious in the girls’ race as she posted a time of 19 minutes, 36 seconds. The Wildcats’ Jack Biewer won the boys’ race as he completed the course in 17:01.

Other finishers for the Oak Ridge girls included: Thora Spence (who came in fifth with a time of 21:37); Odelia Kneise (seventh, 22:26); Emily Edwards (eighth, 22:31); Lily Moran and Lillian Hartman finished in a ninth-place tie as both crossed the finish line in 23:12. Karen Molina finished 11th (23:17).

For the boys, Eddie Moore finished second (17:13). Manuel Cruz took fourth (17:14). Rhett Hovater came in 11th (18:25). Joseph Blair finished 13th as he completed the course in 18 minutes, 38 seconds. Aaron Fiscor took 15th (18:54). Cooper Bell 18:59 took 16th.
