Family law legal clinic set for November 5
The YWCA, Anderson County Family Justice Center, and Legal Aid Society are hosting a free family law legal clinic.
The clinic is scheduled from 9 a.m. - noon Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at the Oak Ridge YWCA, 1660 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge.
The Legal Aid Society and local attorneys will be available at the clinic to provide free legal advice on several family law issues, including divorce, custody, child support, adoptions, and domestic violence.
Any services at the clinic are free.
No registration is required.
Appalachian Arts Craft Center supper
Appalachian Arts Craft Center in Clinton is hosting its annual chili supper fundraiser from 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Norris Community Building, 20 Chestnut Road.

Willow Brook Baptist ‘Thanks-Giving-Away’
Everyone is invited to Willow Brook Baptist Church’s annual “Thanks-Giving-Away” Saturday, Nov. 19.
Food boxes, clothes, shoes, household items, toys and miscellaneous items are all available to anyone at no cost.
The event begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Willow Brook is in Rocky Top, just off of Interstate I-75 Exit 129.
Anderson County ‘Master Gardner’ application available
The Anderson County Master Gardener applications are now available.
The Tennessee Extension Master Gardener Program trains and certifies volunteers to provide community service through the local county Extension office. The program seeks to improve the lives of Tennesseans by promoting environmental stewardship, non-commercial food production, and human health and well-being through residential and consumer horticulture education delivered by a dedicated and skilled volunteer network.
All sessions will be held at the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge.
Applications are due no later than Friday, Dec. 16.

Beaver Ridge UMC plans craft fair
Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church, 7753 Oak Ridge Highway, will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Family Life Center.
New Chamber of Commerce building groundbreaking
Groundbreaking for the new Anderson County Chamber of Commerce headquarters on the corner of North Hicks Street and North Main Street will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3. The public is invited to attend this event.
