Lady Wildcats are on a two-game win streak
For the first time during the 2022-23 season the Oak Ridge High School girls basketball team has a two-game winning streak.
The Lady Wildcats won their consecutive game when they routed Knoxville Central 72-54, in a District 3-4A showdown Friday night in Fountain City.
ORHS featured a balanced scoring attack against the Lady Bobcats as Ze’Yana Stewart led the way with 21 points. Demetria Strickland added 16 and Ayana Porter scored 14. Lindsay Cleveland had eight. Kannon Green had seven and Bella Boone finished with six.
The Lady Wildcats (3-4 overall, 2-0 in District 3-4A) opened district play with a 69-35 win over Powell on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Wildcat Arena.
Porter had 25 points, four assists and three steals. Stewart scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Strickland finished 11 points, four assists and three rebounds.
