Eleven and counting.

That’s where the Oak Ridge High School girls basketball’s winning streak stands heading into this week.

The victories kept coming last week for the Lady Wildcats, who swept a pair of District 3-4A games, defeating West at Wildcat Arena Friday and toppling Powell on the road on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Jeff Hunter Gymnasium.

Oak Ridge (14-8 overall, 8-0 in the district) routed West High 59-12 late last week.

The Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 22-4 lead and never looked back against the Lady Rebels.

Ze’Yana Stewart led ORHS with 16 points. Lindsay Cleveland added 10 points and Dimitria Strickland finished with eight.

The Lady Wildcats opened the week with a 63-39 league victory over Powell on Tuesday, Jan. 24, as Jenna Johnson took top scoring honors with 18 points to pace a balanced and potent offensive attack.

Strickland and Bella Boone scored 10 points each for Oak Ridge. Cleveland chipped in with nine while Stewart and Ayana Porter finished with six apiece.

ORHS will conclude its regular-season district schedule this week. The Lady Wildcats hosted Karns Tuesday night with a chance to claim the league championship and the top seed in the upcoming postseason tournament.

Oak Ridge travels to Campbell County Thursday.

Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
