District 4-AAA honors announced

The District 4-AAA basketball regular season is now complete, and several area athletes were named to the league’s All-District teams recently.

The Clinton Lady Dragons finished second in the regular-season standings and had six players recognized by the league’s coaches.

Addi Gamble, Josie Moody and Lanee Carmichael were all named to the All-District Team, while Allie York, Bailey Burroughs and Ashaunti Davis received honorable mentions.

Anderson County’s girls finished third this season, and Lydia Meldrum and Jaylynn Bullock were named to the All-District Team. Macy Basford, Emily Mustard and Shelby Kelly received honorable mentions.

On the boys’ side, the Mavericks, who finished third, were represented on the All-District squad by Brandon Dake and Tate Russell. ACHS players Ryan McGhee, Cole Russell and Carter Nelson earned honorable mentions.

Clinton’s all-district standouts included Jeremiah Lee and Teegan Bolinger. Frederick Dorsey, Bryson Maddox and Lebron Booker received honorable mentions for the Dragons.
