Ten from county make Maryville College spring Dean’s List
Ten students from Anderson County made the Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester at Maryville College.
The students making the list were: Emilee Fowler of Andersonville; Catelee Crow and Jackson Garner of Clinton; and Jacob Berven, Ashley Butcher, Ruandy Matamoros Diaz, Anna Kasemir, Jessica Mohr, Kathryn O’Brien and Mackensie Wolfe of Oak Ridge.
Consideration for the Dean’s List is open to full-time students who have a grade point average of at least 3.6 in all work undertaken, no grade below a “C” and no incompletes for the semester.
In addition, Maryville College held its annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 6, and two students from Anderson County were awarded degrees.
• Emilee Fowler of Andersonville completed the requirements for a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education with the distinction of magna cum laude.
• Ruandy Matamoros Diaz of Oak Ridge received a bachelor of arts degree in health and wellness promotion.
For more than 200 years, Maryville College has educated students to be giving citizens and gifted leaders and to study everything, so that they are prepared for anything.
