Coal Creek Bulls go 3-0 over the weekend

The Coal Creek Bulls won three baseball games over the weekend at Anderson County High School.

The Bulls defeated the Diamond Tar Heels 6-3 Sunday as Brent Lowe picked up two hits and drove in a pair of runs. Eli Ledford went 2-for-2 and drove in two runs and scored another. Mo White also singled and scored for Coal Creek.

The Bulls also won a pair of games Saturday at home as they defeated the Diamond Tar Heels 5-3. Coal Creek opened a 5-0 lead before withstanding a late rally from the Tar Heels.

Aydin Bond had three hits, drove in two runs and scored another for Coal Creek. Gavin Hill, the Bulls’ designated hitter, had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Mo White had two hits, including a double. Hayden Ault doubled and scored.

In Saturday’s second game, Coal Creek notched a 13-0 victory over the Knoxville Falcons as it scored five runs in the first inning before tacking on four in the second frame and four more in the third.

The Bulls took advantage of six Knoxville errors. Bond delivered a gem on the mound, as he tossed a one-hit shutout, walking one and striking out eight in a three-inning complete game.

He also had a hit, a stolen base and three runs scored. Reece Wilkerson went 2-for-2 with three runs and two stolen bases. Hill was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.

White also had a big day at the plate as he was 2-for-3 with three runs, a stolen base and two RBIs.
