Reminiscent of the old hymn, “Shall We Gather at the River,” members of First Baptist Church of Andersonville and River of Hope Church in Knoxville gathered at water’s edge at Big Ridge State Park Sunday, Aug. 27, for a joint worship and baptism service. Pastor Jason Berry of River of Hope played guitar and led the singing while Pastor Steve Lakin of First Baptist preached a sermon on baptism. Together, the two pastors baptized 12 people.
