Jefferson Middle gets win on Hawks
Jefferson Middle School’s basketball teams swept Clinton Monday night in Oak Ridge.
In the girls’ game, the Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Hawks 39-16.
Amayah Bishop scored a game-high 16 points for Jefferson, while Emmerson Bradshaw added 12 and Evayah Anderson had eight points.
Amslee Carmichael led Clinton with five points. Raelyn Britton and Mia Jennings scored four points each. Kamlyn Martin had three.
In the boys’ contest, the Eagles toppled the Hawks, 40-31.
Jefferson’s Zayden Williams led all scorers with 14 points. Kutler Green added 13, and Jacob Holman finished with eight for the Eagles.
Clinton had two players post double figures in the scoring column as Brenden Hayden had 12 points and Evan Carmichael had 10.
