Oak Ridge’s Jackson Square Evening Christmas Market is in full swing.

It started last Saturday, Dec. 2, and will continue the next two Saturdays, Dec. 9 and 16, from 5-8 p.m.

It features charity events, vendors, food, mulled wine, hot cocoa, music, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Historic Jackson Square.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at Jackson Square from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 9. Join Mrs. Claus for a holiday reading at the Razzleberry Ice Cream Shop at 201 Jackson Square.

Secret City Strings will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 9.

Santa’s Workshop craft workshop will be on Dec. 16 at Calamity Coffee at 219 Jackson Square, sponsored by Family Justice Center.

Project Run Away will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16. This competition involves creating an outfit using only holiday items like wrapping paper, ribbons, bows and lights.

“You may attach your items to clothing as we don’t want you to catch a cold. Accessories are encouraged, and keep it family friendly please,” an announcement stated. Each team entry will be $10 with all proceeds going to United Way of Anderson County.
