Clinton, Norris Middle play in Maverick Middle School Tournament during break

Norris’ Chloe Wilkerson scored seven points in the Lady Senators’ consolation championship game of last week’s middle school basketball tournament at Anderson County High School. A pair of local middle school girls basketball teams were in action last week at the Anderson County Maverick Middle School Basketball Tournament at ACHS.
The event concluded Saturday.
Norris took sixth place in the tournament as it dropped the consolation championship game 50-40 to LaFollette.
Megan Watkins led the Lady Senators with nine points. Kinleigh Hood added eight. Khloe Wilkerson had seven and Addy Blevins finished with six.
The Clinton Lady Hawks lost the seventh-place game as they were edged by Oliver Springs 29-26.
Anslee Carmichael led Clinton with 12 points, and Mia Jennings added five.
