Burton named to fall 2023 President’s List



Helen Burton was named to the University of Alabama President’s List for fall semester 2023. A total of 13,950 students enrolled during fall semester 2023 at the University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above), or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).

The UA dean’s and president’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.



Gerrish named to

URI dean’s List



Nicole Gerrish of Oak Ridge has been named to the fall 2023 dean’s list of the University of Rhode Island.

To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality-point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality-point average.

Berea College

announces Dean’s List



More than 460 Berea College students were named to the fall 2023 Dean’s List. A student must achieve a GPA of 3.4 or higher while passing at least four total credits and a course load equivalent to 16 semester hours in order to be named to the Dean’s List.

Brianna Greer, Lindsay Mayes and Alyssa Tittsworth of Oak Ridge were included in the fall 2023 list.

Berea College focuses on learning, labor and service. The college is in Berea, Kentucky.



MTSU 2023 Dean’s List announced



More than 6,220 Middle Tennessee State University students are included on the latest Dean’s List for their academic achievements for the fall 2023 semester. Local students making the list include:

Damaujah Weaver Atwater, Will Beard, Emily Bigler, Sean Cain, Dallas Cole, Kenley Grooms, Ashley Landaverde, Tara Pickel, Nicholas Sellers, Amber Shelton, Garrison Terry and Andrew Williams of Clinton.

Lucas Beebe, Ryan Bowen, Eilidh Hancock, Weston Hano, Janashia Henderson, Bailey James, Chris Jordan, Josh Mahan, Ande Range, Kelsey Reynolds, Lauryn Rouse and Cedric White of Oak Ridge.

To qualify for this distinction, an undergraduate student must maintain a current semester grade-point average of 3.5 or above and earn at least 12 semester hours.



College of Charleston names President’s List



Kannon Green of Oak Ridge was named to the College of Charleston fall 2023 President’s List (Highly Distinguished). Green is majoring in early childhood education.

To qualify for the President’s List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.8 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

College of Charleston is in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina, and is a nationally recognized public liberal arts and sciences university.



Newton added to Dean’s List

Vivian Newton of Oak Ridge was named to Samford University’s Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.
