Summit Medical of Oak Ridge plans to move into a new building in mid-March.

Kevin Bridges, practice administrator, said Summit Medical will close its existing office at 801 Oak Ridge Turnpike on Friday, March 15.

The new office at 850 Briarcliff Ave. will open on Monday, March 18.

“We are excited to further invest in this community,” Bridges said. “We now have the largest primary care practice in Anderson County, both in number of providers and clinic size, to best serve our patients and this community.”

According to Anderson County property records, the present Summit building was purchased in October by 801 ORT LLC for $2.45 million. It’s linked to Knoxville-based Realty Trust Group, which develops and leases medical facilities.

Bridges said Summit’s new building will have more parking spaces and more room for new providers, patients and services.

Summit Medical will continue to offer family practice, internal medicine, physical therapy, on-site lab services, X-ray and ultrasound at the new office.

“Once we are settled in, we do have plans to increase our service lines, but that will come later,” Bridges said.
