Rocky Top Powersports grand opening features ‘Mountain Man’
Guraedy is the bearded, slow-talking air-conditioning repairman and radio host who is a neighbor to the Robertsons, the West Monroe, Louisiana, family that made a fortune from its best-selling duck calls – the business around which the TV show is based.
He said he has lived in Maryville for the past few years, where he moved after production of “Duck Dynasty” ended.
He now makes appearances at various events, where he greets visitors and sells T-shirts and other memorabilia.
Brandon Epperly last year opened Rocky Top Powersports shop in Rocky Top.
The business offers parts, accessories, and service for a variety of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and side-by-sides, and is a dealer for brands such as Arctic Cat, Kymco and Yanmar.
Rocky Top Powersports is at 540 N. Main St., in the former location of a car museum just a short distance from Interstate 75 Exit 129.
Epperly is still remodeling the front section of the building, which he plans to use as a showroom for new and used off-road vehicles.
“We service all makes and models of ATVs, SXSs, and dirt bikes,” he said.
