Lady Senators are district champs

The Norris Middle School softball team won three games last week on its way to earning the 2024 district championship.

The Lady Senators captured the league title with a 6-2 victory over Harriman Saturday afternoon. Cindle Justice went 2-for-3 with a home run. She scored two runs and drove in another.

Bella Brummet had two hits, including a triple. She had three RBIs and scored a run, while Ashton Thurman tripled and drove in a run. Alice Ogan came up with a hit, and RBI and a run.

Jaycee Hunley singled and scored.

On Thursday, The Lady Senators shut out North Middle School 12-0.

Shyla Tindell threw a no-hitter as she walked one and struck out.

Brummet hit a home run and scored two runs.

Ogan was 2-for-3 with five RBIs. She also doubled, stole a base and scored three runs.

Norris defeated Harriman 5-3 on Monday, April 29.

Hailey Cornett went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Tindell singled and scored, while Brummet doubled and scored twice. Aulisio doubled, scored two runs and drove in another.
