Dragons, Mavs selected for all-district honors

Anderson County and Clinton recently completed their respective 2024 baseball seasons in the District 4-AAA tournament.

The Mavericks finished second in the regular-season standings, while the Dragons came in third.

Both Clinton and Anderson County were well-represented when the district’s coaches bestowed their postseason awards.

ACHS had four first-team all-district selections: Luke Lankford, Trent Strickland, Morgan Clark and Alex Bond.

The Mavs also boasted three second-teamers in Reece Wilkerson, Ty Wilson and Aydin Bond. Gavin Hill was also named to the league’s all-academic team.

The Dragons, meanwhile, had three first-team selections as Harrison Shelton, Isaiah Slaven and Garrett Lee were each named to the squad.

Lee was also named to the all-academic team. Second-team honors went to Garrett Davis and Jayce Mack.
